Hey there. So I just started a blog a few days ago with WordPress and have made a few posts already. I chose the free option just to get a feel for everything, but now I’m wanting to update to the premium plan as the free plan only allots 3GB of storage space, which you mentioned here. Unfortunatley, i just came across your website this morning as i was just searching for some blog tips, but my question is, what’s really the purpose of using a webhost with WordPress? The blog i created a few days ago is being hosted by WordPress, correct? Or am I missig something?

In January 2017, security auditors at Sucuri identified a vulnerability in the WordPress REST API that would allow any unauthenticated user to modify any post or page within a site running WordPress 4.7 or greater. The auditors quietly notified WordPress developers, and within six days WordPress released a high priority patch to version 4.7.2 which addressed the problem.[105][106]

Brought to you by the guys behind WPEngine, the managed WordPress hosting of choice for many, Torque is all about WordPress news, updates and all the latest happenings in the world of WordPress. Other than news, they have business, community and development categories that make the blog the richer. Content is created by experts such as Shaun Quarton, John Stewart and Josh Pollock among others.
If you’ve noticed a trend of managed WordPress hosts having great blogs, it’s because they generally do. Not only is it a great way to give back to their community, but it also helps attract people to their products. Flywheel is managed WP hosting aimed at designers, so their blog, The Layout, targets that same demo. Many of their articles are design best practices, tips to enhance the look and function of your WordPress site, and so on. But they also publish general WordPress tips, too, and a lot are on the technical side but broken down so that non-techies and right-brained people can make heads or tails of them.

Your knowledge on blogging is amazing and sharing these tutorials is wonderful. I have never blogged before but always had an interest even though I am very nervous. To be honest, I am 49 years old and have no clue how to start my intro with two different categories to talk about. First one is about my photographs I have gathered and the second one is about motivating a healthy lifestyle on eating, fitness, and positive outlook. Not sure if I can combine the two or keep it separate and need two different domains. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.
