Let’s first check whether the code is inserted where we expect it. When you are logged in as administrator you’ll see admin toolbar above every post or page and there should be Ad Inserter menu item with debugging functions to diagnose common issues. Go to any post where the ads should be displayed and click on Ad Inserter / Label Blocks in admin toolbar.

And WordPress themes is what this page is about! What are they? Glad you asked. We are talking about pre-designed and pre-built layouts that you can apply to your website. If the WordPress dashboard allows you to take care of the content of your site (categories, subcategories, sections, pages, text and so on) a theme will define what the site looks like. Its visual design and its interactions. What color will the background be? How will a link be highlighted when you hover with your mouse? Will it have a large slider in the homepage? That’s what a theme is about.

We may be a bit biased here, but we do our best to put out the best tutorials and resources we can for the WordPress community at large. If you have any questions or topics you’re curious about, we very likely have something about it in our archives. And if we don’t, we’re always open to taking requests in the comments.
Since creating this blog eight years ago, we’ve garnered an audience of more than 20 million. Perhaps the most important lesson learned was that starting a blog was much easier than we thought. Thankfully, you needn’t be tech savvy (we certainly aren’t). You don’t need to know how to code or design (we still don’t). You don’t need much money (you can get your domain for free and host your site for just a few bucks a month). And you don’t need to spend a ton of time either (you can set up your blog in less than an hour).
If you have specific expertise or something that you are passionate about, you may want to consider writing an ebook. Depending on your site’s current content, you may even have the beginnings of your ebook just waiting to be adapted. While the benefits of an ebook are similar to those of online courses, there is an added incentive that comes with establishing yourself as an authority on a topic. After all, is there anything more authoritative than being able to say you literally wrote the book on a topic?
It may happen that your theme does not not support the toolbar or it is not displayed for some other reason. Insuch case you can use Ad Inserter Debugging Tools widget which has the same menu items. Simply drag Ad Inserter widget into the sidebar and select Debugging Tools. Of course, you still need to be logged in asadministrator to see the widget.
