I really want to appreciate the time and effort you put in to write this post. My blog is not yet optimized and I am bookmarking this page right away as it will be very handing. And WordPress themes is what this page is about! What are they? Glad you asked. We are talking about pre-designed and pre-built layouts that you can apply to your website. If the WordPress dashboard allows you to take care of the content of your site (categories, subcategories, sections, pages, text and so on) a theme will define what the site looks like. Its visual design and its interactions. What color will the background be? How will a link be highlighted when you hover with your mouse? Will it have a large slider in the homepage? That’s what a theme is about.

The new QuickStart method is a page-level ad format that automatically displays ads at “optimal times” when Adsense deems they will perform well and provide a good experience for visitors. These ads can be turned on by placing the QuickStart code within the tag. It’s easier to set up but not nearly as flexible as placing ads in text widgets, which can be conditionally displayed or hidden on pages, categories, tags, and post types using widget visibility rules offered in Jetpack or another plugin.
Have just set up site using WP 4.9 / Bluehost. Looking for a blog theme that has maximum font / colour and formatting options, will support pics, has multiple gallery options, supports sound (very important) and video. Also want it to be advertisement-ready. Major problem I’m having is that I want to collect and collate opinions and stories from readers; their ideas and responses to numerous topics. Ideally 3 at once featured on a static home page. I don’t know if there’s an additional plug in I’d need to be able to do such a thing, or whether some of these themes listed have decent widgets I could use for this purpose? I have some experience using website back-ends but no coding knowledge. Thanks.
If you still need to register a new domain, you’ll use the left box followed by your desired extension (e.g., .com, .net, .org). In case you’re having a hard time thinking of a good domain name, try Wordoid, a wonderful naming tool that will give you plenty of great options (just make sure you don’t buy the domain from them, since Bluehost will give you one for free).
Though largely developed by the community surrounding it, WordPress is closely associated with Automattic, the company founded by Matt Mullenweg.[112] On September 9, 2010, Automattic handed the WordPress trademark to the newly created WordPress Foundation, which is an umbrella organization supporting WordPress.org (including the software and archives for plugins and themes), bbPress and BuddyPress.
