Hi, Thanks for the excellent list! I am currently searching for a WP theme and am a bit lost in the jungle. I am trying to look for emails to be able to ask the webpage authors a few things before buying, but seems I cannot find any such support email. Do you know if these themes always have support forums only, where anyone can see which troubles you are encountering and by adding your web address in connection with problems, that is searchable, too..? Have you figured out some other way to ask questions privately?

Since creating this blog eight years ago, we’ve garnered an audience of more than 20 million. Perhaps the most important lesson learned was that starting a blog was much easier than we thought. Thankfully, you needn’t be tech savvy (we certainly aren’t). You don’t need to know how to code or design (we still don’t). You don’t need much money (you can get your domain for free and host your site for just a few bucks a month). And you don’t need to spend a ton of time either (you can set up your blog in less than an hour).

Not so much a typical blog as a podcast with really good show notes, Post Status is one of those sites that grabs you and won’t let you go. Run by WP pro Brian Krogsgard, PS has become so much more than just a show or a site. Brian has put together a great community with PS, and he has been publishing and working in WordPress long enough that he has insight into the CMS that many of us only dream of having. He also covers topics that other sites tend to back away from, such as WordPress and Blockchain. Definitely worth a look (and a listen, too).

Your knowledge on blogging is amazing and sharing these tutorials is wonderful. I have never blogged before but always had an interest even though I am very nervous. To be honest, I am 49 years old and have no clue how to start my intro with two different categories to talk about. First one is about my photographs I have gathered and the second one is about motivating a healthy lifestyle on eating, fitness, and positive outlook. Not sure if I can combine the two or keep it separate and need two different domains. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

If you’re reading this post, your business is likely generating at least some revenue from your website directly. Advertisements are a surefire way to boost your coffers, and Google AdSense enables you to place them directly onto your WordPress website. If you’re new to the process, however, you might be asking yourself how to add AdSense to WordPress.
WordPress continues to grow every day. Developers continue committing code and adding new features taking the platform further beyond the remits of imagination. It’s powerful now more than ever, and we can only expect this trend to go up. You can stay on top of all WordPress changes, news and updates by following your favorite blogs or personally contributing to the project.
You can use Ad Inserter plugin to automatically insert code (usually in the section – described below) for Auto ads on every page. However, the exact placement of ads will be done by the ad code, not Ad Inserter! When you enable debugging function Label blocks, AdSense Auto ads will be labeled with a colored bar on the top with a text informing you that the ad was automatically placed by AdSense Auto ads code.
NOTE: At WPBeginner we believe in transparency. If you sign up with Bluehost using our referral link, we will earn a small commission at no extra cost to you (in fact, you will save money and get a free domain). We would get this commission for recommending just about any WordPress hosting company, but we only recommend products that we use personally use and believe will add value to our readers.
If any issues arise, do not hesitate to contact the support staff. Also, if you wish to research this theme and its features, you can always access the extensive documentation source. It is informative, and very well-written. Every option and setting will be accessible, as there is no need to modify the code. With The Reader, even a child can create a successful site.

Every website or blog can be used to generate a passive income. There are many ways to monetize a website. However, you would agree that no one likes the idea of cluttering one’s site with an array of advertisements from a range of different ad networks. So it becomes logical to simply choose the best one. AdSense is probably the most popular service for this. It can be used to display text, video or image advertisements. As a website owner, you will be paid each time your visitors click on ads.
Every second, hundreds of blogs are being created. When facing such overwhelming competition, you need something that can grant you a competitive edge. Uncode can showcase your content on any device, regardless of the screen size. In addition, it also offers cross-browser compatibility.

Webmasters with or without previous experience can make the most of June. Intuitive and free from coding, June’s design process is a visual interface. The powerhouse WPBakery (former Visual Composer) empowers effortless customization. Deploy elements and sliders on your pages and sections without breaking a sweat. In addition to selling your book on your site, you can also sell it other places online, such as Amazon. This is a smart idea because it can help generate more traffic for your site from larger and trustworthy platforms, especially if you start to garner positive reviews. In fact, the food blog Pinch of Yum jumpstarted their affiliate marketing efforts by first creating an ebook on food photography and selling it through Amazon, as well as on their site. As another example, ProBlogger Daren Rowse earned $72k in a week with his ebook. If you are interested in creating one yourself, you can use an online tutorial to help you get started.
Please test your plugins and themes against WordPress 5.0 and update the Tested up to version in the readme to 5.0. If you find compatibility problems, please be sure to post to the support forums so we can figure those out before the final release. An in-depth field guide to developer-focused changes is coming soon on the core development blog. In the meantime, you can review the developer notes for 5.0.
b2/cafelog, more commonly known as b2 or cafelog, was the precursor to WordPress.[26] b2/cafelog was estimated to have been installed on approximately 2,000 blogs as of May 2003.[27] It was written in PHP for use with MySQL by Michel Valdrighi, who is now a contributing developer to WordPress. Although WordPress is the official successor, another project, b2evolution, is also in active development.
