The Classic Editor plugin restores the previous WordPress editor and the Edit Post screen. It lets you keep using plugins that extend it, add old-style meta boxes, or otherwise depend on the previous editor. To install, visit your plugins page and click the “Install Now” button next to “Classic Editor”. After the plugin finishes installing, click “Activate”. That’s it!
WordPress' plugin architecture allows users to extend the features and functionality of a website or blog. As of March 2017, WordPress has over 55,286 plugins available,[19] each of which offers custom functions and features enabling users to tailor their sites to their specific needs. These customizations range from search engine optimization, to client portals used to display private information to logged in users, to content management systems, to content displaying features, such as the addition of widgets and navigation bars. Not all available plugins are always abreast with the upgrades and as a result they may not function properly or may not function at all. Most plugins are available through WordPress themselves, either via downloading them and installing the files manually via FTP or through the WordPress dashboard. However, many third parties offer plugins through their own websites, many of which are paid packages.
b2/cafelog, more commonly known as b2 or cafelog, was the precursor to WordPress.[26] b2/cafelog was estimated to have been installed on approximately 2,000 blogs as of May 2003.[27] It was written in PHP for use with MySQL by Michel Valdrighi, who is now a contributing developer to WordPress. Although WordPress is the official successor, another project, b2evolution, is also in active development.

Thanks for sharing the themes actually i am very much passionate about writing blogs with different contents and themes. I am very interested in purchasing one of these themes for my own blog. Thank you for your reply 🙂 I am certainly willing to make the switch to .org and self-hosting, but I am not sure how to go about self-hosting. I purchase my domain name (ashlimontgomery.com) from DirectNic which might have a hosting option. And that’s about the extent of my knowledge or understanding of self-hosting. Where do I go to begin that process? If I get that figured out, which themes would you recommend for me? I really would like to take my blogging a step up, and I know that a really professional look that puts the content into a more user-friendly format is important to achieve that goal.
If you don’t want to show ads on every page you can either define custom groups for Auto ads or insert the code only on specific pages. In such case use any code block, set Automatic insertion to Before Header or Before Post, set Alignment and Style to No Wrapping and define rules where the code should be inserted. Check also Header and Footer code section for details on header code.
If any issues arise, do not hesitate to contact the support staff. Also, if you wish to research this theme and its features, you can always access the extensive documentation source. It is informative, and very well-written. Every option and setting will be accessible, as there is no need to modify the code. With The Reader, even a child can create a successful site.

There are many reasons why you don’t see ads. In order to help you to diagnose the problem Ad Inserter has many debugging functions that can help you to figure out why the ads are not where you expect them. Here we show example for AdSense ads but the same approach can be used also for other ads. This is how blank ad block looks like – empty space:
If you are interested in earning a little extra revenue, Google AdSense is one of the first solutions to check out. AdSense enables you to easily insert ads on your website – you just include a small code snippet on your site and Google will handle the rest. Your visitors will see relevant ads and you’ll get paid based on how many people view and/or click on your ads.
The new QuickStart method is a page-level ad format that automatically displays ads at “optimal times” when Adsense deems they will perform well and provide a good experience for visitors. These ads can be turned on by placing the QuickStart code within the tag. It’s easier to set up but not nearly as flexible as placing ads in text widgets, which can be conditionally displayed or hidden on pages, categories, tags, and post types using widget visibility rules offered in Jetpack or another plugin.

There is perhaps nothing more frustrating than making changes to your website, only for something unexpected to happen. Maybe you’ve accidentally deleted a portion of text that you really need, or maybe you made an adjustment to your theme but it caused other issues on your page. If you backed up your website, you’ll be able to restore your site to its last cached state, making your life a whole lot easier.
